Welcome everyone to the Carval HR development blog. We'll keep you updated of all development news here.

v3.3.0 is set for release on Monday as planned. As usual full details will be in the release notice on the CD but the major additions are:

UNIWAGE PAYROLL
  • mid-period payment advice report added to expenses
  • pension scheme have been improved by adding salary sacrifice options and calculations net of basic rate tax
  • Expenses now have a separate VAT field

UNISTAFF PERSONNEL

  • Documents links added to appraisal records
  • Disciplinary and grievance records can now have more than one document attached

ABSENCE
  • New report available which details each employee's percentage of time off sick per month and then totalled for the year
I am off on paternity leave for 2 weeks and will return on 23rd May so there will be no updates to the blog for a fortnight.

I will be attending the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC, formerly Inland Revenue) workshop on Tuesday 24th May which is concerned with the Internet Filing outgoing forms (e.g.P6s, P9s) which the Uniwage payroll supports. This is an area we are keen to make full use of so we're staying right up to date with whatever plans HRMC has to change theway this works.

You may not realise that we actually do support all 10 "outgoing" forms from the Revenue, that would normally go to your Secure Mailbox on the Government Gateway website. There is a utility on your HR Unity CDs that will read the messages in for you, it acts like a normal Email program (in fact it is modelled on Outlook which most of our users are familiar with). Our plans for the future are to allow you to then directly import the contents of these forms straight into Uniwage.
