Welcome to all you customers who are visiting here as a result of the last email newsletter.
The last 3 weeks have been enormously productive in terms of testing & over 100 issues have been resolved to ensure the quality of this release is as high as you would expect from Carval.
Relatively few new features have been added in that time, although some extra functionality has been added. For instance, there is now a new level of HR administrator, "local" as opposed to the current "global" administrator. This type of admin user can only log into the HR Administrator utility & can update security details for HR Unity users. But they can only assign to them company-level details to which that user themself has been assigned permission.
Another admin function is the ability to suspend login to the HR Unity temporarily across the board, for example during routine maintenance. A message can be given to explain to users the reason for the login suspension.
Another simple "nice" addition is on the T&A Clockings screen. The pop-up hint for any clocking made through a clocking terminal now shows the terminal on which that clocking was made.
Also, where supervisors are added to employees in T&A, the full name of the supervisor may now be displayed as opposed to just their HR Unity user name.
On another note, our support team in Bedford is now in control of the in-line help which means that it should now be more accurate, more comprehensive and will soon contain new features such as "How to..." topics. The help system is context-sensitive through the HR Unity product range, just press F1 on any screen. Or go to the Help menu and select "Help" for the table of contents.
