Release of v4.2.1

Version v4.2 of HR Unity was released on Tuesday this week. The release of v4.2.0 was delayed several times as we really wanted to make sure we fully tested all the new features.

As a result of the delay, new issues that were being corrected in developmental version v4.3 were eventually brought back into v4.2, which went from v4.2.0 to v4.2.1. This is the release you'll see if you upgrade. You haven't missed anything, it's just v4.2.0 with about 20 or so issues fixed and a few enhancements.

Enhancements such as a more integrated design when running on Windows XP and Vista, and improved version information in the automatically generated support email (you did know you could send an email to HR Support from the Help menu, didn't you?). We also looked into issues with running the HTML Help system over a network, something which is not allowed by Windows as standard but for which we can help you overcome.



And importantly for Uniwage payroll customers, we looked into reports that the Period End was causing other users to be "locked out" of the system until it had finished. We rewrote the way the Period End works and this problem not only was resolved, but we recorded a 25% speed increase as well.
