We have already identified the main payroll changes that need to be made for the 2008/09 tax year and of course these will be done in conjunction with the Payroll Standard.
One area that we are keen to concentrate on is cars. Currently the car benefits in Unistaff don't link to the cars in the Expenses & Benefits module, which is going to be rectified in this release. The cars will be consolidated into one area that can be used both in HR and Expenses & Benefits.
We appreciate that there is only one area currently in Unistaff where you can enter car details. What we would like to know is how do you use the cars in HR (under Company Benefits Car Details)? Are you using them to hold private car details, even though it is designed for benefits only?
Part of linking car benefits to the P11Ds means that cars that are not a benefit cannot be held in this Car Details area any more, otherwise they'll end up feeding through to the P11Ds. What information should we keep? Just the car registration or more?
