HR Unity v4.1.0 was released last week; this version will automatically be issued to all Uniwage payroll customers. If you want to be upgraded to this version even without payroll, contact Carval Support.
As usual, the statutory payroll version includes all of the major mandatory changes required for the forthcoming tax year. Version 4.1 is fully accredited with the Payroll Standard (for the fifth year running) supporting 15 (yes, fifteen) online filing forms, over and above the 2 required for the Payroll Standard (P14 and P35).
What else can you expect from this release?
- Removal of tax credits as these are no longer payable through payroll
- Introduction of The Employment Equality (Age) Regulations for statutory payments
- Introduction of "Keep In Touch" (KIT) Days for SMP, SPP and SAP
- Introduction of part-week payments for SMP, SPP and SAP
- Updated HMRC Compliance Extract file layout
- Removal of Return Permit maintenance as Magnetic Media EOY submissions are being phased out by HMRC and no longer supported by Uniwage
- Support for multiple salary sacrifice schemes has been added
- Introduction of P46 detail entry and Internet Filing
- Improved the end-of-year data validation checks, including character checks on name and address fields based on the HMRC Quality Standard
This may be the first release for many Uniwage customers from v3 to v4. Although the software looks and behaves the same way, there is a significant behind-the-scenes reconstruction between the two versions which may make you want to consider using Carval's support team to help you with the upgrade. Again, contact Carval Support for more details.
