November '09 - News of v4.12

HR Unity v4.11 was on general release during October. Since then, development has begun on the next release, v4.12.

Version 4.12 will mostly be a Time & Attendance release, with many new features. It's been a while since we added anything significant to our T&A offering. Enhancements & features include:

• Daily Grace time for lateness
• Handovers: Use Worked Meal Breaks as make-up towards leaving early
• Optionally calculate bank holidays on rest days
• Clockings Input: remembers whether you prefer the "Calculate live" button on or off
• Department Changes
• Clock Card Report improvements, such as multi-week reporting
• Support for new GPRS clocking terminals, which don't need to be connected to a LAN or WAN

We will also be making generally available a utility that we have had for some time but never released, called the Presence Monitor. The utility is designed to sit unattended on your desktop and keep a live count of the numbers of employees in, out, absent and missing.

We expect to release v4.12 during November, by which time we will have made a start on v4.13, which will contain all the statutory payroll changes required for the following tax year.
