The development of HR Unity v4.0.0 has finished and been handed over to Carval's testing team. We are currently in the process of tweaking and sorting out any problem areas but this has gone extremely well and v4.0 is looking complete.
v4.0.0 is not a release that will be issued to customers, this was always intended to be an internal release that would take us from where we were with v3.7 to where we want to be. Some significant modifications have been made to the HR Unity database which will affect you if you're used to writing reports, because many of the basic employee fields have been moved to other tables in an effort to improve the structure.
We will soon be contacting customers to discuss updating their user-defined reports and payslips, so that when you do get your copy of v4, you'll have updated reports ready to go. Your old reports simply will not be compatible, the changes to the database layout are that significant.
In several areas, the new database structure has enabled us to rewrite reports without performing some processing first and you get your report faster, so there is something to be gained by the users from this too.
With v4.0.0 complete we are now focusing our attention on why we took this major decision in the first place - to develop a multiple-post enabled product. On top of this, any existing issues reported by customers have been recorded in our system and are being dealt with for the release of v4.1.
Thank you for your patience.
