July 09 - News of v4.11


v4.10 was released in June to those customers who had expressed an interest or had issues corrected. Since then, the development plan for v4.11 has been ratified and implementation is well underway. The plan is for an October '09 release.

So what can you expect to see in v4.11? The roadmap for this version alone currently shows over 60 enhancements and new features, including:


Unistaff HR
  • Maternity/Paternity history screens, with the option to transfer the details to Uniwage Payroll (if available).
  • Training Questionnaires. These replace the current basic Training Evaluation with fully fledged questionnaires, including a Questionnaire Builder. Questionnaires can be filled in by managers using the Windows software or employees through Self Service. A course can have as many questionnaires attached as required.Answer questionnaires from the Training module
  • Liability Claims for Accidents
  • Company Property Inventory
  • Leaver Information window when an employee is made a leaver (unreturned company property, create a vacancy in Recruitment, unpaid training costs, etc)
  • Many new fields added to Recruitment
Uniwage Payroll
  • SSP can now be calculated using an employees shift patterns
  • Emailed payslips can now go to a different specified address other than the work address
General
  • Event Diary events can be transferred to another Windows user if an user is deleted
  • Risk Assessments
  • Competencies & Objectives
HR Unity Online (Self Service)
  • Input Expenses and Mileages
  • New "Dashboard" front page to give an improved overview of day-to-day tasks
  • Customisable screens allow you to group Self Service items your way
  • Optional password expiry
  • P11D Details Print
  • Absence Request notification email will now include others absent at same time
Don't forget that from v4.11, the minimum resolution (for the Windows software) is 1024x768 so you have some time to increase your resolution if you're still working at 800x600. The software will still work at the lower resolution but you will see scrollbars where screens are wider than your desktop.
